I Was also Brave

It was a Saturday morning. My son Altamish, had requested for a Playstation 4, and my wife had asked for some kitchen utensils. So, all of us went downtown, but I have to stop at a bank as I needed some cash. It was with that money that I planned to do the shopping.

The bank was crowded. It was not unusual for banks are normally crowded on Saturdays. There were two queues, and and I joined the shorter queue. Everyone seemed to look quite impatient. It was a very slow moving queue and almost not moving at all. I felt very unpleased either.

The customer at the head of my queue left the counter, then I moved a step closer. Suddenly, three armed men rushed in through the door. Their faces were hidden by the mask they wore. One of them shouted at everyone to lie prostrait on the floor. "Quick get down on the floor." We moved as ordered.

Another robber stood by the door. Surprisingly, the security guard was nowhere to be seen. The third person quickly jumped over the counter. Pointing a gun at the clerks, he forced them to to fill in a bag with cash. The clerks obeyed the instructions as if they were engaged in a perfectly legitimate act!

The masked man who had ordered us to lie prostrate on the floor watch over us. I didn't think that he is an adult. He probably in his late teens, by judging his voice and body.

After a while, the gunman at the door shouted, "Spark, why the hell are you taking so long?

With my body lying prostrate on the floor I still could see what was happening. Of course, I was scared and I couldn't believe it was really happening. Yes, it was a bank robbery right in front of me.

As I was counting then seconds, the one behind the counter, jumped over , and together with his friend stood at the door, dashed out and got into a waiting car. The one who stood watching the customers , hesitated for a while and then moved to the door.

At the very moment urged me to act and I did act, I'll never know why and how it happened the way it did. I punced the man and pinned him to the floor. Groaning, kicking he tried to free himself but failed. The other customers manage to disarm him, and soon everyone seemed to be upon him!

The car with the two men sped off. The bank was noisy again with everyone relating his version of the event.

Don't ask me what made me pounce on the gunman. Perhaps, I can be brave too when the situation demands it.

The Extremely Unexpected Gift

My sister was really suprised me with her announcement. I looked at her in total disbelief. She told me that she was going to buy me a new motorbike. I started dreaming myself going to school on my brand new bike.

"Are you sure? I asked, shocked at her unexpected generosity.

My sister was 13 years older than me. She was not someone whom I could describe as a loving person. Moreover, she was a stingy person. I was quite know as a legal officer at a legal firm, she earned a very high monthly salary. However, I didn't really sure of her exact figure.

And now she was going to buy a bike for me? I found it difficult to believe.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you so kind to me?" I asked her in puzzle.
"You are buying me a bike? Why on earth are youn doing that?" I enquired again but now I think she was hurt by my question. The expression from her face indicated that.

"Why? What do you mean why? I'm getting you a bike because you are my only brother. Isn't that a good reason? And tell me, how many more brothers have I got?" she spontaneously responsed.

This may sound overly sentimental, but trust me, her words almost brought tears into my eyes. So, this fellow person had asoft spot for me. I guess I wasn't aware of part of her.

"Get ready in the evening. I'm taking you to the Cagiva dealer in Jalan Kuala Krai. The bike I'm buying you is a Cagiva Mito 250. You can choose your preferred colour.

I always wanted to be the proud owner of that bike. Some of my schoolmates came to school on that lovely machine, and I used to envy those lucky guys. Now I'll be the envy of others.

Isn't it wonderful to have elder sisters? Especially if they are type generous enough to get you your dream bike!

The Journey

This journey,

still long to go.

It's hard

to go through

This journey,

still long to go.

Some people say

it is crazy.

This journey,

still long to go.

They are crazy.

They never know.

This journey

is the destination to heaven.

But they never know.

Why and how.

In The Limited Hours

Only a few hours
daily.
Sharing the limited
space of time.

We are never regretful
of this limitation,
because our heaven
is borderless.

In the late of night
you are still awake,
waiting for me.

If like Zeus,
I can stop the sun
from rising
gladly will I do so,
so that our romance will live on.

Finishing the rest we have,
until the sunrise,
we have to be apart
again.

Hope
there will still be the days
for us to be spent together.

Immortal Dream

Tender moments there were many,
Full realisation was an illusion,
Though we are apart
In this real life,
In our minds and dreams
Actually there is togetherness
Between us.

Sorry...

Because I'm still alive
With our memory.
While all hopes seem lost
Longing continues to burn bright
Within me.
The brightness is frozen
In the state sureality

My First Experience MRI

The last three weeks was terrible to me because I suffered a lot of backpain. It was very painful and to make matters worse I couldn't even straighten my back. The pain gets worse when I try to straighten my body. So, during the pain, I had to lie down a lot on the bed because it was the only way to reduce my backpain. Actually I had experienced this pain many times. If I'm not mistaken it started during the early 90s. However, this was the worst experience ever.
At first I thought it was only a muscle problem. I went to the clinic on the first day of the pain at about 8.00 p.m. The doctor gave an injection to reduce the pain and two packets of tablets. The pain remained. Then I went for massage treatment, but there was not much difference. Since I could not even stand up. I had to take 2 days leave.

I couldn't stand the pain anymore. At last I went to the hospital. The doctor there referred my case to the orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon asked me several questions about my backpain. After that he sent me immediately for an MRI. I didn't know anything about it. Before entering the MRI room I read some information about MRI. Actually MRI is the short form of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The purpose is the same as the X-ray. The X-ray scans our inside but the MRI is more advanced as it can scan more details of the body.

After had the MRI, all the questions of my pain were answered. I was shocked when the orthopedic surgeon told me that the three segments of my backcbone at the waist level has damaged. As he was pointing to the MRI film he said that between backbone segments there is a disc and now the disc is not in the centralised position. That is why whenever I try to stand straightly I feel the pain. Then, I asked him whether it can be back to normal after having the treatment. He said it will take long time to get it back to normal. He also advised me to keep my posture always in the straight position. I have to maintain the body posture to let the disc into the right position. He also arrange the appointment for me to get the physiotherapy treatment.

Eventhough my pain is serious but I am quite satisfied because I knew what is caused my backpain. I will follow the doctor's advise and the treatment as well and what make happy, it was a relief to know I still have chances live on.

Everest Climber

The people who reach the peak of Mountain Everest is seen as heroes. These fellow people were hat off by nation leaders. Until now I still don't understand on what sides of these people contribute the country. What are the benefits that will the country will have from them. Can anyone explain to me?

Now I'm the Father of three kids.

This is my youngest child. It's a babygirl, was born in November 2006. She makes my life brighter. Eventhough my life before has already been bright enough but the existance of her make it better.
